DQSA is Ideal for Cell Phone Systems
|
|

- DQSA supports two to three times the number of calls as other access methods at equivalent quality.
- DQSA works equally well with carrier signaling and spread spectrum.
- DQSA offers special advantages for G3 (next generation) cellular in that DQSA supports dynamically allocated fixed-bandwidth channels intermixed with voice packets.
- The overloading and subsequent failure of some cell phone service during the 2003 power failure in the East Coast of the USA would not occur with DQSA – under overload conditions utilization remains at 100%. Waiting calls are queued and admitted in order. The carrier would also have the option of increasing the capacity of the cell by lowering the quality of each call.
